November 6, 2017 at 4:08 pm #5023279267Alex HodschayanKeymasterHello Tom,
Thank you very much for sharing your motorome experience with us.
To answer your question about road-handling quality, yes; one of the primary features of the SumoSprings is to improve the overall handle and cpntrol of the ride.
SumoSprings are manufactured from a proprietary closed micro-cellular urethane. A material that contains high quality dampening properties. This means road shock, vibration, or other tension caused by road or driving conditions is drastically reduced.
Thanks to these dampening properties, the SumoSprings themselves are able to dissipate the energy that normally travels to the frame of your vehicle, which you are currently noticing.
With these, not only would you be enhancing the quality of the ride of your motorhome, you’d be enhancing the safety of your motorhome.
We manufacture kits for both the front, and rear end for your application. I’d be happy to assist you with the proper part numbers, or with any further questions you may have!In reply to: 2017-2018 ram 4500 with ssa24-2
August 8, 2017 at 4:27 pm #5023276447Alex HodschayanKeymasterHello,
Thank you for contacting us!
Most of the time, when we hear about a situation similar to what you are explaining, it has to do with pre-load tension.
If there is not enough, the installation might be too loose. The higher up you set the bolt hole settings, the more tension, and the tighter the kit becomes.
That usually does the trick, but please, send me some pictures if you don’t mind.My email is peter@supersprings.com
I’d be happy to take a look, and work further along with you, to get this resolved!

August 1, 2017 at 3:57 pm #5023276391Alex HodschayanKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your submission!
Sounds like you’re using the application guide like a pro!
However, since your Fleetwood is built on a Workhorse chassis, and not an F-53 chassis, the best way to use the application guide is to start from left to right.
In your case, entering the Coach make is not necessary. The chassis year, make, and model would suffice.
The only thing that I am not confident about, is the model, W16. We list part numbers for the W20, W22, and W24.
Feel free to email me at peter@supersprings.com, so I could ask you a few more questions, and maybe get together with our engineer, so we can see if we can come up with something for you!In reply to: SumoSprings for 2017 Ford E-series cutaway Motorhome

April 3, 2017 at 3:42 pm #5023271298Alex HodschayanKeymasterHey N.Vonstaden, thanks for asking the question here. I would suggest the -47 density. The -54 states for cutaway models only because it’s intended use is commercial applications with constant and heavy duty loads. For an RV application like yours, the -47 will give you enough load support to reduce sway, and absorb road shock and vibration. Hope this helps!

March 12, 2017 at 11:19 am #5023271222Alex HodschayanKeymasterHey Ben,
Thank you for taking the time to share this. I am glad to hear the results! Your situation and review here is something I know other potential customers will find helpful. The last two in your list was what I found as the “whoa” factor on my own vehicle. I was expecting some of the other features I know Coil SumoSprings provide, but the first time I went into a corner at fun speeds, I thought I had a performance sway bar installed!
Thanks again,

February 12, 2017 at 9:08 am #5023271103Alex HodschayanKeymasterHey Chip, no, the brake line should not touch the SuperSprings. Here is what the instructions say:
Adjust position of brake cable bracket so that cable avoids all contact with SuperSprings blade or shackle. (Fig.1)
See instructions here:
https://superspringsinternational.com/instructions/INS_SSA4.pdfIt sounds like the bracket was not adjusted correctly. I would recommend taking some pictures and sending them in to our tech team, tech@supersprings.com, and ask Outlaw to give our engineering department a call to answer any questions, 800-898-0705.

February 9, 2017 at 9:39 am #5023271093Alex HodschayanKeymasterHello,
Thank you for your submission!
Generally speaking, the heavy duty SuperSprings are more recommended for commercial use. For example, service body trucks, dump trucks, tow trucks, etc. are applications where you’re going to see those heavy SuperSprings. If none of the above apply to you, the SumoSprings are definitely the way to go! In your case, the SSR-610-54 kit, is the best option available. That is our SumoSprings Solo kit, and it replaces the factory bump stop. It is a whole 3 inches taller, which means it will engage much quicker than the original equipment. This will result in a more comfortable, more smooth ride, especially when you are fully loaded! Leveling the load is mainly what you’re interested in? These SumoSprings will provide 2,800 pounds of capacity at 50% compression. SumoSprings compress up to 80% of their original body height, so our SumoSprings will have no trouble keeping your truck level! We hope this helps answer your question, please do let us know if there is anything else you would like us to assist you with.
Thank you!
-Peter
In reply to: SumoSprings for Sprinter 3500 4×4 2016 (144 wheel base)

In reply to: I can’t determine from the application page whether I need the yellow or black.
December 5, 2016 at 9:29 am #5023269997Alex HodschayanKeymasterThe rear Maxim kits (part numbers ending -1) cannot be used on Sprinters with a 2″ lift block (I will add a note to the Application Guide as it does not specify this). A lot of the motor homes are built on Sprinters that have this block. The most popular SumoSprings for coach Sprinters is the SSR-338-47 (works with or without the block). If your coach does not have the 2″ block, you could use the SSR-336-47-1. I would not use the -54 unless it was for commercial use, or you had a lot of extra weight and something in tow. For the front, I would use the -40 blue kit, SSF-106-40. Hope this helps; let me know.
