I needed to replace my poor quality, ineffective rear factory bump stops and after much research I felt the SumoSprings to be the answer and selected the recommended SSR-205-47. This product right out of the box proved to be a superior quality product. Install was very straight forward and I completed the install in under one hour. The “unloaded” test drive showed a slightly smoother ride, better small bump compliance, and better control on the high speed road dips that make you feel like you are on a roller coaster. Best of all, cornering saw significantly less back end body roll and a significantly more responsive rear end when swerving side to side. For my particular application – 2017 Chevy Express 3500 – the SSR-205-47, was under approximately 1/2″ compression in the “unloaded” state, which was excellent. This contact/compression allowed my unloaded van to ride on the SumoSprings which did make for a smoother, better performing ride over the factory bump stops. It’s no secret that these 1 ton vehicles ride rough. The SumoSprings helped significantly to reduce this rough ride. When loaded, I continued to notice all the above benefits. I thoroughly recommend this product. Ride improvement is truly noticeably.
